Alteer Corporation announced today that it has finalized an
agreement with Wixom, Michigan based H2H Solutions, Inc. to
provide its thousands of physician clients across the country
with e-Prescribing capabilities using services provided by H2H's

After extensive review
of a wide array of potential electronic prescription partners,
Alteer has chosen to closely integrate H2H Digital Rx with its
Alteer Office practice management and EMR system, which provides
its physician clients with comprehensive practice management,
electronic medical records, and integrated billing capabilities.
In addition, by leveraging Digital Rx's services, Alteer's
physicians will be able to send their electronically prepared
prescriptions to any major retail drug chain, as well as to the
ever increasing list of independent pharmacies that accept
e-Prescription, with just the click of a mouse.
"Digital Rx will provide Alteer Office clients with access to
cutting-edge services that include integration with
SureScripts-RxHub for real-time determination of prescription
drug benefits, access to formularies covering over 200,000,000
privately insured lives across the country, as well as access to
patients' medication histories regardless of where their
prescriptions were issued," according to Mr. Erskine. "In
addition, by leveraging Digital Rx's services, Alteer's
physicians will be able to send their electronically prepared
prescriptions to any major retail drug chain, as well as to the
ever increasing list of independent pharmacies that accept
e-Prescription, with just the click of a mouse."
Alteer and H2H will closely integrate
Digital Rx into the Alteer Office product to insure that data
from the practice management EMR system is passed seamlessly
between the two platforms.
"Providers will not be required to perform double entry of data
when the new capabilities are deployed," according to Mr.
Erskine. "Physicians will be able to employ Digital Rx
functionality into their existing Alteer Office system with
minimal disruption to their practice and will enjoy the benefits
of electronic prescribing almost immediately without having to
acquire new hardware or software."
H2H also offers Digital Rx in a standalone mode, which is
delivered in an ASP model, requiring only Internet access and
appropriate security authentication for physician use. The
system provides physicians with decision support notification
pertaining to any potentially negative drug-drug, drug-food, or
drug-allergy warnings that could affect their patients and
delivers legible electronic prescriptions to pharmacists,
thereby eliminating complications that arise from illegible
handwriting. All of this is designed to improve physician
efficiency and patient care and safety.
