SAN JOSE, California - NDS Surgical Imaging (NDSsi), a leading
provider of medical visualization solutions for modern surgery
suites, announced the preview of the next generation
visualization and informatics products for Minimally Invasive
Surgery - the Radiance®G2 and ConnectORTMG2. The newly
redesigned Radiance®G2 displays include upgraded ergonomics and
the latest in high definition (HD) image processing. The next
generation informatics platform, the ConnectORTMG2, offers
user-selective multi-display support, industry-leading HD image
routing and HD surgical video streaming to the
Ethernet/Internet. NDSsi is providing a preview of both products
at the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Conference, NDSsi
Booth #1647, at Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco,
Calif., from October 13 – 15, 2008. |

With new techniques in medical imaging and
HD video finding its way into surgery suites, surgeons and their
staff need clear, reliable, accurate viewing and positioning of
imaging content that will enable procedural efficacies. New
Radiance®G2 displays from NDSsi offer simultaneous, on-demand
viewing of multiple HD image sources on a single
wide-aspect-ratio LCD display. The same content can also be
delivered to users outside the OR, including audio. Multiple
image viewing and easier technologies to collaborate clinically
outside the OR will benefit delivery of therapy. Examples of
this include viewing live ultrasound alongside HD endoscopy,
displaying hi-resolution PACS images from pre-surgical planning
alongside HD surgical video, and hi-resolution pathology images
alongside HD endoscopy.
These next generation products for surgical imaging are based on
